The B.T.W. High School Banquet will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Columbia, S. C. on June 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Greetings and Seating at 6:00 pm -6:45 pm. Tickets are $50.00 per person for the entire weekend event. This is our Thirty-Eighth Reunion and we are making plans to accommodate 500 people at the banquet for this memorable occasion. Attorney Melvin S. Hodges has graciously agreed to be our keynote speaker. He is first and foremost a Washingtonian, class of 1956.

Each class is asked to donate $50.00 for food items for the picnic instead of preparing and bringing food to the picnic as done in the past. The food will be purchased, prepared and served from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. by the Picnic Committee. John W. Work Chorus

University of South Carolina Law Center, 1112 Green Street, Columbia, SC

The John W. Work Chorus will perform under the direction of Mr. Michael Felton. Ms. Margaret Tipton is the coordinator. All Washingtonians, their legacy, and individuals who would like to sing and help celebrate this legacy are encouraged to join us.

Hotel Accommodations:

Fifteen rooms have been reserved for this event at the cost of $121.00 plus taxes. As a registered hotel guest of the Embassy Suites Hotel, you will enjoy a complimentary, full cooked-to-order breakfast buffet each morning and a Manager’s Reception each evening. Check in time 3:00 p.m. Check out time 12:00 p.m.

Reservations: To make reservations, call (803) 252-8700 or (800) 362-2779. All reservation must be canceled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid billing of one night’s room and tax. Reservations must be received on or before Thursday, May 31, 2012 to receive this discounted rate. Request received after cut off date will be confirmed on a space and rate available basis.

Tickets for the Banquet and the John Work Chorus are now on sale. You may obtain tickets from Board Members, Class Presidents or Class Coordinators. Membership Dues: $10.00 annually, due by April 15, 2012.

Contributions: $25.00 or more annually to offset operating expenses of the BTW–Monteith Cultural Center. Contributors of $25.00 or more paid by April 15th will be listed in our Program Booklet.
